Art Galleries and Visitor Centres
Lighthouse works with museums, art galleries, heritage centres and visitor centres in the planning, graphic design, interpretation and production of exhibitions and interactive exhibits. From single touchscreen exhibits to large scale, bespoke, interactive experiences, we aim to produce engaging material that allows visitors to interact, learn and discover via the latest interactive AV technology and well design information displays.

Interactive touchscreens and websites
We design, develop and deploy interactive touchscreens and websites, ranging from simple photo galleries and interactive archives, to content rich timelines, video walls and games. Screens can range from small touch screen kiosks, to interactive digital signage, or large format touchscreen displays with multi-touch capability to allow several users to interact with content simultaneously.
Content can be managed remotely using content management functionality, or updated as and when, via usb or local network.
Gallery and exhibition websites
Websites have a key role to play in audience engagement and communication for museums, galleries and visitors centres, and can be used to provide so much more than essential visitor information. Lighthouse has designed and developed large sites that support multiple venues, as well as microsites that highlight key parts of a permanent collection or specific exhibitions.
Previous work has also included sites to promote seasonal exhibitions and audience specific websites in support of education and local heritage. We work with a range of content management platforms and have experience of integrating with third party archive and museum management systems.
Video production and animation
Incorporation of video and animation into displays is a great way of providing visitors with greater insight in an engaging and accessible format. We are equipped to produce HD video content and have extensive experience of talking head interviews and location filming. Combining new and archive footage can be an effective means of bringing displays to life and we can apply this, along with 2D or 3D animation, and motion graphics to enhance and explain information in a creative way.
Graphic design and interpretation
We design exhibition display graphics that are user friendly, providing clear, easy-to-read information for visitors. We are experienced in the production of interpretive panel designs made to inform, educate and engage, along with signage, wall graphics, descriptor panels, text labels and display materials.
Creation of a specific graphic identity or brand can be a valuable means of promoting high profile exhibitions. We can design a full suite of marketing materials in support of exhibitions and venues. Our graphics designers can prepare marketing materials including posters, leaflets, invites, educational resources and display banners.
Bespoke builds and install
We can project-manage the build and installation of new exhibitions, and will work with specialist fabricators, exhibition stand builders, logistics, installation and lighting contractors.
We will tackle small and large scale projects, including re-fits, and displays can be permanent or temporary, or modular in design.
