Welcome to Lighthouse. We are a multi-disciplinary design company based in Aberdeen, Scotland, providing specialist communications, creative and learning solutions for a range of UK and international clients. Our core service areas are design for brand, print, web, exhibition, video production and eLearning. Below are examples of our recent work.
Wood Group Kenny Newsletter
Design for Print
As part of the ongoing brand development for Wood Group Kenny (WGK), Lighthouse have designed and produced a newsletter to highlight their latest technologies and achievements.,
'Newspoint' communicates what individual WGK companies are doing independently and also as an integrated Group.
Aberdeen Airport
Brand awareness
In January 2012, the Civil Aviation Authority released data that confirmed Aberdeen Airport was the fastest growing airport in the UK. The Airport saw 11.5% growth on the previous year. This is a fantastic achievement for Aberdeen Airport.
Lighthouse were asked to design a large format poster within the terminal, to communicate this achievement to their passengers and to thank them 'for getting on board'.
TAQA Bratani at
Offshore Europe 2011
Exhibition Design
Lighthouse worked with TAQA Bratani to design their stand which included a video presentation and e-brochure. Lighthouse also produce TAQA’s newsletter, TAQA talk.
Lighthouse worked to ensure that there was continuity of message between the different elements on the stand, with consistent branding, adjusted to suit each of the three components.
TAQA stand design
Exhibition Design
TAQA’s stand design for OE2011 was based around a 5m high room, which was used as a mini 3D cinema. This created an eye-catching stand at an event with more than 1,500 exhibitors. The stand also included an open seating and a bar area, which could be used for informal meetings, or hosting events. The stand design lends itself to being reconfigured and re-used in a number of ways for different events.
TAQA e-brochure
Print and literature design
We produced an e-brochure for TAQA’s OE2011 stand. As an alternative to printed material, e-brochures can help keep exhibition costs down, and are especially useful where the document is tailored to a specific event and will have a short lifespan.
Wood Group - Offshore Europe
Exhibition Design
Exhibiting at a major event like Offshore Europe requires a creative approach combined with meticulous planning and consistency of brand integrity across a range of components and media. Lighthouse worked with Wood Group to create their stand, develop their brand and literature design, build an interactive pdf and produce video presentations as well as their on-line newsletter, Wood News.
Wood Group stand design
Stand Design
This stand needed to accomodate the Group’s three businesses (Engineering, Wood Group PSN and Wood Group GTS) while presenting the single Wood Group brand.
With OE attendance estimated at more than 40,000, thinking about flow of people around the exhibition space is vital. Other considerations included space for greeting visitors and socialising as well as private meetings.
Wood Group big screen video
Broadcast video and animation production
Wood Group’s stand design included a large external screen for video presentation. Lighthouse produced the video, which allowed presentation of a broader set of messages than would have been possible using static displays alone. This approach can be especially useful for a company like Wood Group with different divisions, but the approach can be delivered with equal success on a smaller scale.
Wood Group brochure
Print and literature design
Printed material has a number of benefits in relation to digital formats for exhibitions: clients leave with a visual prompt that may make your discussion more memorable, they can add their own notes or read through the material on the flight home.
Wood Group Kenny video
Video and presentation production
Video presentations can also be used effectively on a smaller screen within the stand. For OE2011 Lighthouse produced an on-stand video for Wood Group Kenny, which could be used as a presentation tool, allowing stand personnel to talk through services in more depth with clients.
Wood News
Website and eMarketing Design
To coincide with Offshore Europe the latest edition of Wood News was released. This online newsletter is issued quarterly to a global Oil & Gas audience in 8 languages.
GTS interactive PDF
Onscreen presentation design
Lighthouse produced an interactive PDF that allowed stand visitors to browse and efficiently navigate their way to specific information about GTS products and services.
NHS Technology Adoption Centre
Website Design
The NHS Technology Adoption Centre works directly with industry & the NHS to identify and overcome the barriers to adoption for innovative technologies. Lighthouse were tasked with updating the design of their website, developing the style and presentation of the site to target it's broad range of audiences.
